Hi i tried the EQ setting for the first time and it didn’t work i first toggled the key then moved the dot around but no change at all !
It rather depends on whether you are playing a music format that can be EQed on the R3.

Sample rate > 96kHz -> no EQ
DSD -> no EQ (this is not unique to the R3)
MQA -> no EQ (this is not unique to the R3)

your saying high res music cant be eq'd ?

i never heard that before

if so then that would be a major drawback to high res music

i might be downscaling all my high res now to 16 44

eq on my pc with high res works fine

but on my ap80 with hiby os the eq does not work with high res, but the mseb works

AFAIK with DSD there's no way to EQ it natively, so any device/software that works is likely just converting it to oversampled PCM. Not sure about MQA-maybe there's some native EQ software or devices but with non-native software, if I understand correctly, would seem likely to prevent the "unfolding" of the hi-res content or whatever it's called.

Seems like more standard flac or straight PCM wav or whatever would be the most suitable to EQ'ing Hi-Res users in any case.

Have been listening to my Saber, this is so good for IEMs running balanced. It's a world of difference compared to single-ended and it really is fantastic in terms of power. Super low noise in balanced, I just love hearing the silence in songs that have start-stop style like glitch.

Looking at description of r3 pro 2022, it seems now you can “potentially” save music from qobuz/tidal for offline use?

Is this correct?

I would say "potentially" means no but the actual meaning could have been lost in translation.

We will probably have to wait for users to test it for us but I wouldn't buy it if your main requirement is offline Tidal music playback.
