Hey now, let's not get too crazy with labels...

"c'est comme il a dit lui" depite
Couldn't say better !
DX200 is to me better in Soundstage for example but also very heavy and hot. So R3 will be my summer Dap.
Thanks to both of you!
I think the sound of R3 improved after cca.40 hours of burn in, better soundstage and more detail and separation and is very nice sounding especially with hi-res and DSD files.
Cheers
The burn-in doesn't happen to the DAP. The brain also adjusts to the sound signature and dynamics of the new system. In that time you burn-in your mind. You really say that the DAP/ DAC sounds better after a burn in?
Is "burning in" really a matter here? Never heard of it according to a dac. (well one snake oil fanatic who also burns in his usb cables in another audiophiole group might also want to burn in a dac).

Tried that, too, although do not remember if it was long version or not.Use https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ it's an official formating tool for sdxc cards.
Format using the long version
Tried that, too, although do not remember if it was long version or not.
At this point - I am starting to suspect SD card is bad. Will get a new one today and try again.
I am curious:
Anyone who got a brand new SanDisk 200GB card here... did you have to format it at all?! or just pop into R3, plug to PC by USB, and start copying folders / files?
I am on latest FW 1.09
Mine was purchased from amazon (seller is amazon. not 3rd party through amazon). There are a lot of fake 200Gb cards out there... I always test with h2testw_1.4 before using. The Fake cards may really be 8gb, but look like 200GB on your PC, and Seem to show files on them in the PC, but really have only 8 or 16GB of real memory capacity.

Good for you! I have been burned, and believe that many (even good) sellers cannot tell the fake from real cards in packaging.Mine was purchased from amazon (seller is amazon. not 3rd party through amazon).
Also, confirmed to be a real SanDisk.
I also have a Sandisk 200gb card from Amazon.ca. I loaded everything on, about 125gb. Works fine in my Opus 1s. Loses 1/3 of album covers and about 10% of files on the Hiby r3. Let's face it. The Hiby is buggy, underpowered and sounds awful. Burn in is an urban myth sorta like spending hundreds for connecting wires and earphone cables. Wire is wire. Electronics either work or they don't. Have fun trying to make this thing try to work for you. Mine is for sale.Good for you! I have been burned, and believe that many (even good) sellers cannot tell the fake from real cards in packaging.
Always recommend format to FAT32. Only because more devices can read FAT32 ...
Yeah I would like an answer to that also.
Not released on the market ? Are you serious right now ? Should I talk about Chinese people who has them for a long time already ?That's a little exaggerated. It is a new product, actually not yet released on the market. There will be a lot of updates, and they are specialists in their field. No need for an open sourcing thing, give them some time. It's still a ridiculous request from people who don't know anything about it anyway.

I hope that there will be a lot of updates but who knows ? The shuffle bug with special characters (which is actually a bug caused by the number of files) was reported 3 months ago and they did nothing about it, sorry but you can't put the shuffle option on the top, visible from the main screen and have it buggy for 3 MONTHS, this so very unprofessional.
You can be a specialist and still suck dude, look at the world 2 seconds, I'm not saying the Hiby sucks just that some things might have been checked a little bit earlier.
So, basically, just because I thought that open sourcing their software was a good idea means that I and I quote "don't know anything about it" ? In a couple of years I will be a software engineer dude, just saying. Of course making it open source can be seen as a bad move because other companies could take advantage of it (that's why I said a part and not all of it) but the world didn't built itself as we know it today through proprietary knowledge, it's by sharing that we evolve and evolved. I did a bunch of open source code myself so I know what it's like to "give away" something that you created but it's also to help making your beauty better, by letting other people help you.
