Tbh I'm not sure about how the vents are closed (I'm only familiar with the T50RP MKii) but I'd go for the open version because it will most likely be easier to close the vent than to open it. That is if I was supposed to mod them....

I see your logic, are they still on your list, they are at a temptingly good price but they might be a bit bass light for some.

I'm not sure. I've already got two pair of the MKii........

Maybe if I'm able to find them at a good price with some patience.

The Late December Holiday Curse has struck again!!

Slipped on the stairs and gimped up my back. This time last year I hacked off a chunk of my fingertip

On a happier note, Santa showed early and left me a pair of B3s!!

Many thanks to Tamal, and I believe Paul by extension.
Lab folk, are awesome folk.

Tamal, did you get a chance to do a side by side comparison with the new version?

I absolutely have to get my Titan three and five reviews done tonight, and maybe another to boot. The 3/5 are written and pictures need to be taken. The problem is I can't stop jamming the Xiaomi Mi headphones (with foam pads installed) with the portable rig I call big sexy (Sony F806 & Cayin C5). What a combo!

Sorry to hear about the back man, I hope it doesn't affect your holidays too much!

And no worries, glad you got them in one piece ;)

I did, and the newer is a tad fuller in the midrange and a tad easier to drive along with a 1-2 dB boost in the midbass. With that said, unless you were a/bing them side by side, the differences aren't really in your face and depending on the music piece, might not really show itself :)

How do you like the Havi? Give it some power and it really really shines ;)

I do see why some folks say they're too bass shy, I was a little surprised at the levels myself. Even still, they do sound mighty fine from my x3/nx1 rig. Still trying to nail down the eartips. I went straight for the blue KZ tips since they seemed to be getting quite some praise. Took a bit of fiddling to get a decent seal, so I might need to look at some others
