Haha so what did the tissue paper mod do to the sound?
My s500 and es700 bout is underway and it is close!
The es700 is cheating with my bass mod wich is amazing.

i like ws55 without tissue mod. because the soundstage is better.
but u get more bass impact from tissue mod.

To me the soundstage is still the same but the bass became fuller and the balance is aalmost perfect except for if it only had just a little bit more sub bass texture

Maybe the depth is deeper with it because the tissue makes the pad thicker so the ear would be further from the drivers.

The es700 with mod has sub bass texture in spades.
I know it's hard to believe but the driver is slightly larger at 42mm.

But mids are lighter than the s500.
The s500 to me excellent in its satisfying deep mids.
Too bad the outward appearance is too cheap looking for me haha.
I looking for a donor headphone body to transplant these drivers

So I'm getting a second pair of these... Selling my HE400s and wanting something to hold me over. I'm getting Cute's modded pair with the recable and HM5 pads, so I should be set for a while... these are AMAZING headphones!

Thanks for contacting me. I'm not sure about a "group buy". My Minimum order is 25 and there can't be a whole bunch of customization. You will all have to agree on one cable, one color, one termination.
 
Let me know what you think. Looking at the S500's, it seems like I can re-cable it.
