Right, ejected the SD card while it was on. Waited for the ‘No SD Card Inserted’ alert. Re-inserted the card and immediately hit ‘scan’.
Found the tracks! So do I have to do that everytime I update it?!

Shouldn't have to...have you considered the card might be the problem? Have you tried others?
No but just spent a ton on a 400Gb card!! Can’t return it now. It’s a Sandisk Ultra U1 not a super-duper U3 so shouldn’t be a problem?

Just received mine today - to my dismay, it doesn't seem like you can play all the songs in a genre (seems like a huge oversight) - can anyone else confirm that this is currently the case? If so is there any word from Hiby on whether they plan to update the firmware to allow this?

Sound is pretty good. Obviously the DAC is not as clear or expansive as the Fostex but it’s also not a ruddy great triple-stacker! The amp stage is pretty useless with anything other than iem’s but it combines well with my Vorzüge.
I have the Hidisz AP80 coming from kickstarter soon so I’ll compare.
I’ll try another SD card and do some diagnostics.
Thanks for your help folks.

Anyone else tried a card this big? Only got a mere 120GB in mine. I know Hiby *said* huge cards will work...
Exactly. This was an absolute must for me as I’ve been running a 512Gb Tarkan 7G iPod for 6yrs. I like to have my entire collection on me.

I use a 400gb Sandisk in my R3 and never has an issue.

I use Dapper on Mac to manage the card (which places everything in a good structure and automatically adds the folder.jpg for each album).

It should show all songs in a genre and there should be a button to shuffle play them--can you elaborate on your problem?
You may have to hit another listing called "all tracks" or something like that first.

Thanks very much - not sure how I missed that :)

(I had pressed the tiny generic icon in the top right that toggles between album and all track mode in genre but missed the fact it was doing what I want...haha)

It's nice that they added album view to genres--people have been clamoring for that from HiBy for years :)

Yes they have solved a few niggles in this update.

Do you not think that when your in the play screen and swipe from the left you should always go into that tracks folder list.

It tends to stay in the position your browsing at or defaults to all list view which does not make sense.

You can easily browse using the top icons.
