I've been curious about these for a long Time and finally found one in europe.

40mm ironless magnesium driver. That ironless magnet system is supposed to do something about controlling eddy currents. I did not pay attention in school so that stuff went over my head. All I know it has 20 seperate magnets kind of like Focal.
I was expecting to find some cool ring of 20 small magnets. But it looks like most magnets out there. Would have been cool if they were visible.
I was curious to test how powerfull the magnet is so I touched it with a screwdriver. I'm not sure if the baffle really slided towards the screwdriver but IT was one heck of a SNAP! I was scared wires got disconnected, luckily that did not happen. It's ridiculously powerfull magnet.
If anyone has seen back of this driver before could you tell me If that black stuff over the paper is supposed to be there? That thing next to wire board. It looks out of place. I don't want to open another cup as it is bit of a pain to do that.
