I have a question that will determine whether I order now or wait...   Will the X5 display cover art for FLAC using a file named cover.jpg, which is placed in the album's folder?  (In other words, one cover.jpg for every album and the cover file gets used for every song on that album).
 
Also, does the X3 support this?  
 
I don't have the time nor patience nor the will to go back through hundreds and thousands of songs and embed the art.  I want to use the same cover.jpg I use now with a Rockboxed iPod, Squeezebox Touch, etc.

@starfish: good question. I used to have a Synology NAS and therefore I was forced to rename all cover art 'cover.jpg'. Thousands of albums are stored like that so I will keep my fingers crossed on this one ....

You lucky americans! My preorder just for the X5 here in Italy is of $445 shipped...Nowadays the conversion USD to EUR works this way: $350 = € 350...

Hdphns.com is in Europe and sells the X5 for €350... Can't imagine they will charge too much for shipping to Italy!

Thanks Jonathan, was fortunately able to pre order it from the italian distributor for 329€ shipped, plus found a month old sandisk 64gb for €20 shipped, not bad..But If i think about the USD to EUR conversion...

I think it said the expected in stock date was 3/29/14. check the order page though, it may have changed.
