1, We will not add the format feature in X3, sorry for that.

2, We need time to estimate the 64 gig sd card needing to be only 1 directory with all music, I have not problem about this issue and will be willing to hear more report so we can check out the real reason.

3, The new firmware which will be released soon may fix the incorrect sorting of tracks.

hey james, so you say that maybe it will support album list in artist category? I mean album list will be displayed for each artist? if that, I'm going to buy X3 instead of dx50. :D yeah it is just that that is preventing me to get the X3 right now :)

Same here....I made one folder, dropped all of the files in, updated the library (which took a while as it should) and it works. Unfortunate and strange issue, but at least I dont have to rush to buy a 32 gig card now. You guys are the best...Thanks!!!!!

Just got my X3. As others have said, the SQ is awesome. It may be premature to say this, but so far I prefer it over to the DX-100.

Question about indexing the SD card. I'm using a 64 GB card that I took out of my DX-100. The X3 played the files right away, but only through directory browsing. I then changed the system setting to automatically update. But it's really taking a while (it's been like 20 minutes). I only have about 70 albums/700 tunes on my card. Should it really take this long? On my previous attempt to update, I got impatient and the player actually froze and I ended up having to reset the player.

I just bought X3..does the E12 amp make any significant different to the SQ?

depended on the feedback of Chinese users ( there are about 5,000 X3's users by now), E12 will make the sound more clarity

yes, sometime it took quite long time to update the library . but it will take less time when you just add/remove some tunes. also it depend on the class of the TF card, class 6 or above will be more fast.

yes, the future firmware will support this struture, artiset and them albume. for example,

Artist---Mick Jason-----Ablum 1
                                |--Album 2
                                |--Album 3

Sorry, we need time to know well how people use DAPs and manage the songs, in China, people don't care about album / Artist caz the music includes nothing about TAGs or wrong TAGs, we just use the files name to

and play all the sound through folder. all we need is time to improve the firmware. lol

Thanks James. Not sure about the class--it's Sandisk, Mobile Ultra. I did notice a bug where if while I'm waiting for indexing, and press the home key (the one on the top left), the player locks and I have to reset. Also, while indexing, it does play the current song, but not the next--and you're not allowed to select any other music while it's indexing. .

I'm trying it out now with fewer files on a 16 GB card.

Does it make a different if I throw all the songs into one folder?

I've used Foobar2000 (thank you Parallels!) to rename the files on the microSD with a more accessible format (%artist% - %album% - %tracknumber%. %title%) and I'm updating the library right now.
Now I can finally ditch my iPod Classic in favour of the X3 for everyday usage. The iDevice is still useful for in-car listening, though. =]

If it looks like this:

It's a Class 10 UHS-i card, currently one of the fastest microSD cards on the market.

Yes, it's the normal behavior. You should leave it alone while the it's updating the library. You can check the current status of the player by locking/unlocking it with he HOLD button. This operation won't freeze the device.

I think this issue can be solved with a simple fw update in the future.

You'll need to rename all the files to easily recognise the songs (artist/album/track works wonderfully). At the end of the day, this method transforms the "Browse File" function in the "Play All" button. ^^

Got my X3 and microSDXC card today. Probably won't have time to play and load it until I get home on my iMac. Can I charge it from the wall outlet now though? I haven't opened the box yet.

If you have a USB wall charger then yes. Or you can just plug it into a computer and charge it that way.

So any way to prevent the x3 from cutting the signal between songs. Every time a song changes my DAC clicks twice, once when it loses the signal from coax and once when it picks it back up. This doesnt occur with other sources I have used. I tried turning on gapless playback to see if that would fix it but it doesnt seem to be working.

Not your DAC.

It's probably the relay you are hearing.

Hi, I was at the shop just now testing out the X3 using this microSD card and apparently, it will not even detect the card and its contents. May I know if I should try using another card? Thanks!
