How does it sound compared to your C3/BH combo - is it an obvious upgrade or just a different sound signature?
I love the C3 just because it is so utilitarian and quirky as well as being pretty damn small. But with that being said I really enjoy the X3. It sounds more fleshed out , if that makes sense. I really like the fact that it can power almost all of my cans without an external amp, and when I add my E12 it can blow the roof off the place. It's definitely a step above the C3, even with the BH. Considering the C3 + BH combo is @$200 new I think the X3 is a safe bet for the same price. Just my $.02, YMMV.

Formatting a 64 gigbyte card into a 32 gigabyte partition is not a solution. That is a temporary workaround, as is "not buying the 64 gig card".

Unless you are talking about your ALLOCATION size, which should be 32K for a 32 gig card, 16K for a 16 gig card, etc.

Also, i'm about to try this mp3 syncing thing with Musicbee. I'll let you guys know how that goes. Incase you arent clued in on the situation, Since I dont have a big microsd card (and because of these problems people keep having, i'd rather not risk buying one right now) I need a way to transfer my FLAC and mp3 onto my player. I only want mp3 320kbps on the player. So if its flac, it should be converted and transfered. If its mp3, it should be copy pasted. Simple enough for a transfering algorithm to do, and simple to implement with a perl script or something, but if musicbee can already do this I dont want to sit there writing perl code and developing it for weeks.

Well before I did it I couldn't play music from my card nor the internal memory when the card was in and now I can.

I formatted it at 64k twice before and it didn't work.

Why wasn't it a solution?

Very sorry, please choose the size of the cluster for 32K but not 64K when you format the TF card to FAT32 , there are some compatible issue with 64K cluster .

  Hi
I want to use fiio x3 with beyerdynamic t50p since t50p has 100mw output power and fiio x3 has 32 ohm-270mw could it be problem for use

I have the X3 and the DT-1350 and they work fine.  There's no problem there but I don't know that it's a really good match.  The X3 works really well with headphones that thrive on the power it can throw at them, and the DT-1350 just doesn't seem to really shine with that.  At least compared to the other headphones I've used it with.  The soundstage on my Ultrasone Pro 900s is bigger anyway, and because I find them more fun to listen to I tend to use them more than the DT-1350 anyway, but since I got the X3 they sound absolutely amazing and the DT-1350 just doesn't match up.  Just my opinion obviously but I don't find them and the X3 to be a great match.

Can you guys check something for me?

Set your idle time off to the lowest it goes and wipe your database lib. Then update the database (a clean full creation of database). Check if all of your songs populated. I want to make sure that while updating lib the player doesn't think it is idle.

I've done this a few times. For me at least, it turns the screen off but continues updating the library until completion. One thing to watch out for though, is if you have a lot of tracks on the SD card the update can crash and you'll need to use the reset switch. I had to split my update in two to get it to work with my thousands of tracks. I.e. I put half of the tracks on the SD card, updated the library, then put the rest on the card and updated again.
