Just reserved an X3 from the first shipment coming to headfoneshop coming in to Toronto sight unheard.
I don't think I've ever seen a manufacturer involve and keep their customer base informed like this before and to see a Chinese manufacturer innovating and creating products from scratch instead of knocking off an existing product is awesome.
I am expecting my E12 Mont Blanc Monday and will be reviewing it with various sources, headset and applications.

This is starting to remind me of the E17 fiasco. Hope it doesn't get to where the E17 went. Agents basically took too many reservations and units were sent out randomly(no reserve order) for some agents/dealers.
In the end, they all got sent out. But it took a quarter of a year basically.
Being a little selfish I prefer to take a second or third generation X3... just too tired to serve as a potential (and paying!!) beta tester, the way as many industries are exploring eager consumers. This comment is NOT especifically directed to FiiO, but I also can't exclude them...
...on the other hand I do truly believe that the X3 has the potential to become one of the best mobile music players currently available on the market. Very curious to read forthcoming user reviews.
Not buying until after the more excited people clear the firmware of bugs, but of course I want it out ASAP so these people can start reviewing them already
