Shout-out for the trusty Porta Pro. I'm currently working in my home office/away from home, where for past week I listened via flimsy, bad-sounding Sony walkman headphones. Just unwrapped a new set of Porta Pros, plugged in, and immediately was struck by how good they sound. I mean good in comparison to full size headphones, especially from upper mids on up.

Just $39!!

Assuming you're referring to the Massdrop release? The Portas really are great sounding and my favorite of portable on-ear headphones under $100. They're bassy, a little on the warm side, not too dry like the Senn PX100, fairly portable, and have a great retro look. I've actually given away a few as gifts to non-audiophiles.

Here's a link to the Massdrop version: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-koss-porta-pro-x-headphones

One negative is you have to replace those foamies every year or so as they degrade quickly, but you can get 6 packs from Amazon on the cheap.

...also of interest, they scale well with a recable. If you replace the wire with silver clad copper they sound remarkably more "hi-fi".

That would be the one...

Speaking of MD. This deal for the Thinksound ON2 is a steal at $89. One of the best reviewed on ears on the planet. I still own my pair and highly recommend them. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/thinksound-on2-headphones. Excellent monitor type balanced tuning with much better dynamics, timbre and clarity than the price tag would indicate. A very overlooked headphone on headfi. The cheapest I have ever seen it.
