OT - I wonder if these devices would work in reverse?  i.e. I have a Tube Amp and SS Amp and would be slick to be able to switch between with same set of speakers without swapping connections.

The previous recommendation would probably not do that (it might, but their may be some common grounding that would make it risky).

This is designed for your purpose.

I would check Accessories 4 less. The YAMAHA R-S300 Natural Sound Stereo Receiver is $199 with free shipping. I think you can use an RCA to 3.5mm cable to hook up your MP3 player to the line-in, but I'm not sure about that. The R-S201 is even cheaper at $109

That said, I've never seen a stereo receiver that has hook-up for more than 2 sets of speakers.

The R-S201 has hook up for two pair of speaks (A & B).  Generally an amp will allow you to run both at the same type.  I think you provided a good recommendation, especially for the money.  I've had a lot of luck with Yamaha...they last.

A 3.5mm to RCA cable will allow the use of the rear inputs for an MP3 player...no problem.

I am looking for a new stereo Receiver to replace my Vector Research Amp. I need to be able to hook more than two pairs of speaker to the stereo amp and I want to play my mp3 off of it too. I don't care about how fancy it is but needs to be under 200 dollars. Anybody got suggestions as to what stereo amplifiers to get?

Honestly I'd go on craigslist and find a vintage speaker amp - there are tons in that price range.

Heck I've picked up some nice Adcom and similar amps for $35 at local Pawn Shop because if it doesn't have flashing lights and Dolby Atmos it doesn't sell ...

LCD-2 and AK Junior player for $995.

If I didn't just buy the TH-x00's and a Centrance Hifi-M8 I would have freaking bought this so fast.

Ps. noticed the affiliate deal on the back. However, it does appear you need the affiliate link. I'm not the one who posted this. Got it off reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/3w67k2/headphones_audeze_lcd2_ak_jr_music_player_and_dac/
