At this price they're quite a bargain. These are amazing sounding at $59.99 (had the PX100-II) and these are the more pricey models with the mic. Fantastic beaters at $30 with great quality in the sound dept and even a MiC I guess?

Never heard the PortaPros but I would take these as quite a step up in SQ (from how people compare the PortaPro drivers to the PX100-II drivers over at the SennGrado DIY thread). Oh yea, these are the drivers for the SennGrado headphones.

  Looks perfect for what I need them for.  Do wish they had removable cables, but that's an easy mod.   Might be putting my Exc Cond Beyer DT-880 Premiums (2005, 250-Ohm) in the classifieds now.

I think it's an insane deal, considering I paid $90 or so for my HD 25-1 ii 2 years ago USED and still think it's a great deal.

I have the px-200IIi on my watch list but with that price ($38.14 with shipping and CA tax) it's a really good deal. In for one.

I haven't tried the 200s, but from what I have read, they are not an upgrade or better than the 100s.

It's all over the net. Some closed, some opened as Best Buys. Since it is not a complete Chapter 11 like Radio Shack, my guess is they will just move the inventory around to other stores. The only brick and mortar stereo store I would want to own these days is a very high end one where the consumer cannot get your stuff anywhere else.
