After auditioning them a few times at CES, I'm definitely eyeballing that LCD-X for $1299.  Objectively worse than the LCD-3, but subjectively more enjoyable to listen to.  And more fun than my LCD-2.  Other than the HE-1000, those headphones were the star of the show for me!

great.....just great....

Makes the Momentums on ears I purchased a month ago seem useless to me now lol

Momentums on ear 2.0 and wireless as well.

Bigger ear cups and memory foam.

Just what I needed.... :frowning2:

No wonder those Momentums were on clearance. Good thing I didn't bite on those holiday deals. Roomier cups are always welcome. I didn't like what I had read about the old model's cramped ear cups.

Based on that video, the Momentum On Ear got a foldy bit and that's it.  The bigger cups and memory foram are the over-ear model.  Yes, I know what he said, but he was holding the over-ear model when he said it.

I don't think adding a foldy bit is going to make the old MOE obsolete...

Was it $599 or $699 originally? $499 is probably the more sensible release price for the z7 according to early adopters.

I think the z7 was released at $699, but yea, I think that seems a bit overpriced. the $499 deal looks very appealing.

It was $699, which I paid from Sony direct. $500 is a sweet price........

bro...would u buy it again at 500?

Yes. It's very similar to the old Denon line signature which I love. At the same time it's more robust, isolated better and even more comfy so in a way it has advantages over them.
