Is that the lowest the LCD2's have been in a while?

Only $100 more than the new EL-8

I have a feeling that Audeze is revamping their headphones, too many complains about being heavy and not comfortable.
If company wants to succeed they should listen to the customer, not one but many customers.

But LCDXC is looking good, very nice looking headphone, I don't mind having it just for the display :)

For anyone wondering between the lcd2 and El-8, the better buy it would seem would be the older lcd2. Someone compared the El-8 overall a lesser headphone than a he400i..

That is If closed back is not required

suddenly happier about my $350 HE-400i purchase :)

How could you not be happy about $150 off a 4 month old headphone? lol

well, I was happy, but buzz about new headphones in a similar price bracket and design tends to distract me from my happiness.
In all seriousness though, 400i rocks

I would weep at this deal :joy: Hifiman are next on my wish list and the current cheapest UK price I can find for the he400i is £360 (about $545!!) I'm considering moving just to get the deals

to be fair I don't think there are too many deals on them here, I got mine from being on the 400i tour where they sent them out to applicants. Just so people know, I found out about the reduced price after I wrote the review, so no chance of that influencing my review either.

I heard the EL-8 at CES.  I think the LCD-2 is WELL worth the $100 price difference.  The EL-8 is overpriced by a few hundred bucks IMO.

I'm eyeballing the LCD-X since CES tho.  Time to save up...

Cardinal first sign of Audiophilia Nervosa...I'd see someone about that (preferably a financial advisor  )

AUDEZE back in stock on buysonic.com

LCD2 - $799
LCD3 - $1599
LCD-x - $1299
LCD-xc - $1399

https://www.buysonic.com/deal-categories/audeze/

These people are hillarious.  The thread will recall a while back they started posting that you had to contact them for the lower prices...not listing them.  So I reached out maybe 6 weeks ago about an LCD-xc.  The called me back.....yesterday...LOL.  And get this....quoted me $1699 for the unit.  What a bunch of DB's.

So I tell the young man as politely as I could muster that I reached out several weeks back.  He states, "err....well, my notice doesn't list a date...".  Customer service win right there.

My friend's HD800 gone now, so time for me to get myself a pair this week. Only looking for a new pair. Anyone have experience buying a HD800 locally here in Toronto (preferably Brampton and Mississauga area) that offers deals on HD800 rather than sell it for flat MSRP? If you don't want to post it here out of courtesy for the place, feel free to PM me.

I just missed out on BayBloorRadio and CanadaComputers recently selling HD800 for $1199

A bit OT, but rumor mill is Senn will be releasing a new flagship soon. So maybe prices will sneak down as/when that happens.

Not happening anytime soon. I was on CES 2015 and nose deep in all trends regarding Sennheiser and HD800 for the last 2 months. Heard back from Sennheiser USA and few more vendors without any real strength for a new HD800. With CES 2015 gone, there doesn't seem to be a direct HD800 successor this year.

I hate to say it, but it doesn't seem like it's happening anytime soon.
