The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

In my experience a decent number of satisfied buyers don't leave feedback, so I'd take the 92% with a grain of salt. It's probably more like 95-96% on ebay, where far more people leave feedback. Still not great, but given the seller's long track record I'd probably roll the dice myself. It has a facebook page too https://www.facebook.com/cargolargofanpage/ ...given they only have one, it's highly likely to be b-stock.

...you could also wait for the next 15% off ebay deal (I assume we'll get another one at some point) and get one for $340 or so from a more reputable dealer.

Eligible items exclude.......items from the........Consumer Electronics Categories

So it doesn’t anger people who just bought electronics yesterday with the 10% off electronics coupon, only to have a 15% coupon come out the very next day. Therefore, they exclude electronics from the new 15% coupon to keep everyone happy.

BLINQ is a crappy seller!!! I really hope you don’t get screwed over. I wouldn’t buy water from them.

I take the risk, I ordered twice from them with not problem, we all know that already that some people had bad experience with this company but for that price and the 30 days free return its a buy for me. Also they have 100% Buyer Satisfaction on this product.

Risk versus reward... we all have different tolerances  Hope you get a good one Terco.

I buy a lot of stuff from refurbished sellers like Blinq and Secondipity...often during these eBay coupon sales.

Blinq (Portable Audio Items) and Secondipity (Portable Audio Items) are often significantly below market, at least after the discount coupons. For example, Blinq has Open box New-Other HD-650s for $230 (so $195 if the coupon works). Next lowest on eBay is $280.

I find that if I want to resell items I get from these 2 vendors I can usually make a profit because I take individual photos and risk averse people pay more for items they can see.

There is no risk in the purchase because as Terco points out, if they are not exactly as described, you get free return shipping. Nearly 400,000 Blinq buyers have left feedback on eBay...so my point is not that you should take positive or negative vendor advice from 3 random dudes posting on Head-fi...you should not. But rather that if you like to try out headphones at a decent discount with no risk, these eBay coupon sales and refurbished deals are a good way to do it.

I hope to deter anyone from buying from Blinq. They are absolutely terrible. I ordered two items, one of which was an open box HD800. Only one item was included in my order (guess what, not the HD800). My order weighed one pound in total (the other item weighed 0.7lbs). They basically told me that according to their shipper the item was sent out, and I could go pound sand. They basically said "we don't believe you and we're not doing anything."

Blinq's "100% Buyer satisfaction" is based in THEIR discretion.

There is definitely a risk. If they send you pink Hello Kitty headphones instead of a pair of HD800s, they will not accept the return.
