I think the Beyerdynamic T51p's are the best portables I've seen so far. Some people don't like their look, but they're right on the money for me in terms of aesthetics. On the contrary, I find Sennheiser Momentums much too leather laden for my tastes. The stitching on the headband reminds me of my mom's purse from the 90's.

mmm :)

I always wondered why beyerdynamic insist on putting the name in lowercase and having those spaces in the model names, like T 51 p.

^^ I love the look and feel of these, just wish the sound was better. They are the perfect form factor for portables and have probably one of the best cases as well.

Disappointing. Are they as good or worse than the DT1350?

I think I give the nod to the Audio Technica ATH-A2000X and maybe the A900Ti as well.  I like the look of this entire lineup but the shiny titanium just does it for me.  These aren't my images since I never owned them.

I like the look of the Sennheiser HD 800 too.  Hell, I also like the look of the HD 600/HD 650/HE 60/HE 90, but the HD 800 stands out more to me.

I've actually not heard the DT1350, but hear that the T51p is more refined. My main gripe with the T51p is resolution and separation. I think even my HF300s are better in both.

I prefer the look of HD700, but both are too modern for me. I think T1 is a lot handsomer than any of the Sennheisers.

I have always enjoyed the Audio-Technica AD700, 900, etc, and I have always loved the look of carbon fiber. So, I combined both and I have to say that they are visually the most stunning headphones I own.

HD 700 looks cool especially if you're on a spaceship.  It might look a bit out of place on Earth though, but still cool nonetheless.

I've owned and seen a lot of headphones in my day. To me, there's just something about the retro modern classic look of Grados that I've always liked. Be it the standard 225, the metal of the 325 or PS500, the wood on the RS1, I think they look fantastic with the "alien" antenni. I just like the Grado look.
