Hey all, I want to share a neat story.
One of my coworkers used to have a huge escort addiction even though he's married. He went to a therapist and they couldn't help him. He's gotten hooked into audio hobby ever since I let him listen to my ifi Black Label DSD and my Empire Ears Athena.
He has since devoted his hobby money instead of hiring escorts/prostitutes into buying headphones and portable AMPs for at home and work listening. His wife came by the other day and got me some cool gifts for getting rid of his previous addiction that his therapist couldn't, she's a lot happier knowing he's home every night.
Except she's might not realize her husband might fall in love with his headphones more than her
dun dun dun!!!
Ha ha. I don't even know where to start with this...
One thing I find funny and interesting is how one would even know that a co-worker has an escort hobby. How did that come up in watercooler conversations without sending Human Resources into a harassment tizzy? (I don't really want to know. I'm just asking a rhetorical question on this one.)
What I do want to know is if he is really saving money, or if the overall expenditure is the same?
And do they have enthusiast forums, like Head-Fi? (I don't really want to know the answer to that either!)
When you join, do they say, "Sorry for your wallet." ?
BTW. Love the Meze 99 Neo. Been listening to them a lot lately. Just trying to keep this a little bit about Head-Fi.

I pledged for the storm trooper color for the Phantom Air. Let's just not talk about this thingFurther to my post yesterday, I didn't have any disconnects, but I did have three <0.5s dropouts over that 3 hour period. Interestingly these all happened whilst I was sat at my desk with the phone in front of me, not when I was walking around the office to the printer / coffee/ etc.
Agree that transparency is pointless, luckily I only ever bought these as wireless play music, don't care about transparency, volume control, voice assistant, etc.
With regards to fit, I find that they fit and seal relatively well, not tried running with them yet, though the idea of twisting the iem to lock it in to your ear doesn't work with the way my ears are shaped. In fact doing this pops them out of my ears, still I get a good enough fit just pushing them in. I have some spinfits from one of my many TA purchases I'm not using with any of those (prefer their double flanged tips), will give them a go later, thanks for the suggestion @Midgetguy
I'm also in on the Eoz Air, just filled in my survey, going for the all black (yes I'm boring, also went gunmetal for my Phantom Air, if it ever turns up).
Now, like @Howlin Fester said, does it cost him any less money?: " " -----> speechless.
A classic case of an addictive personality, quite sad. But at least he's into a more healthy addiction now
I only knew of his addiction when his wife came up to me about it. I'm definitely sure, she felt comfortable telling me something, that no one else in our workplace knows about. (okay well, I honestly have no idea)Ha ha. I don't even know where to start with this...

HR is also not aware of my conversation with my co-workers wife, unless I explicitly tell them.
Even then, that is a very stupid thing to do. I'm not trying to get him fired.
yes @chillaxing is right, I'm pretty sure his wife would divorce if he was not seeing a therapist or some form of help to get off his addiction.
But I think it might be TMI to ask him how much his headphones and 3 desktop amps he just bought cost vs the rates he pays escorts.
I probably will not ask him LOL. Let's just leave it in our imaginations!
Yes sir! (even though it might not be a good idea)Wow the IEM Lounge now does Couples Therapy !
