I should hope not .....the speakers in those sound awful.(EXTERMINATE) I think too much treble

Sorry Majo but there is never too much treble, just too much gear!

As Head Fi'ers there is a constant battle in our heads to buy more gear that we don't need!

But eventually after 120 years, I have finally been cured (and I am not talking like bacon:camel:)

Ok I had to share this for a few reasons....firstly it's a classic track even if you like it or not and secondly its one of my favourite music videos ever! Clearly he has been powdering his nose lol and is totally high as a kite....I never get tired of watching it and makes me chuckle every time watching him ....enjoy.

There hasn't been any issue with the HDMI Sound device showing up, each time Linux boots.
.
So, I think I'm going to simplify my PC config, and eliminate the issue of the Syba SD-PEX63081 PCIe Sound Card not initializing / showing up at every boot - by removing the add-on Sound Card, and adding one of these J-Tech Digital 4K/60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor w/SPDIF Optical ( JTD18G-H5CH ) to the main HDMI video output.
.
Then, I should have digital sound output (up to 24-Bit/192-KHz) available through my 4x4 Optical Matrix Switch - all the time.

Hey Loungers, do any of you have a idea for a good balanced DAC to use with my Monolith THX 887 amp? I'm looking to spend $500 or less. I like warm with lots of detail. I just bought an SMSL SU-8 DAC but it was super thin which I didn't like and the remote was broken out of the box. I'm going to return it to Amazon, really unimpressed with the sound and QC. Anyway, if you have any ideas, I'd like to hear them.

EDIT: This is kind of moot now, lol. I found a used Emotiva Stealth DC-1 here and bought it. I really love my Emotiva XDA-2 DAC but it has a massive footprint. I'm hoping the DC-1 gives me everything I love about the XDA-2 in a much smaller package.
