I have made my decision, I'm getting the 240. I figure if I can comfortably use a Galaxy Note 3 in one hand, the 240 should be just fine. Plus I know myself, I'm always going to wonder about the 240 if I get the 120ii. I do like the looks of the 120ii better, but it doesn't matter since it's in the case anyway.

I've yet to see the stock case for the 240, is it nice? Can someone point me to some other options? I found one on flea Bay... But didn't like it or its ridiculous $107 price.

Stock case of the 240 is hand made in Italy and don't think you'd get anything better than that.

Btw if anyone is interested I did a 16 bit 44.1 kHz battery test loop I got 8 hours of continuous playtime.
 
I set the volume up to 37
 
I'm using JH Audio Roxanne's universal IEM attached to the AK240 while I did the playback loop
 
The settings I used was to turn off:
 
Equalizer
 
WiFi
 
Gapless Playback
 
Bluetooth
 
Balanced out
 
I'll try to do a 320kbps test next weekend to see if I can get more than 8 hours of continuous playtime.

I'd just recommend to thoroughly check your unit when you receive it. It's just that I'm on my 3rd AK240 this year after the first two had some serious issues out of the box. 
 
Even though I have my doubts about AK's quality control, I've persisted with the AK240 because it sounds so damn good.

I can agree with you that 120ii/100ii are very good looking device but not agree with you that 240 is not as nice looking.  240 is has a unique shape that never been present in the market before it launch.  Once you have it on hand, you'd appreciate the originality of the unit and the courage of AK to make this breakthrough in shape.

Like I said you can't go wrong with the AK120 II she's a real beauty, but the AK240 doesn't disappoint especially if you have good high resolution files I'm loving my AK240 more and more everyday, I'm starting to look for DSD bootlegs but I cant seem to find any of my favourite artists looks like I might have to actually pay for them but I don't mind since it sounds so damn good on the AK240!
