Thanks for the help, people!

I wonder why AK doesn't use 3.5mm for its balanced out. I'm afraid the connection won't be sturdy & may disconnect easily.

@Gavin:

Which adaptor are u using & where did you get it?

They could simply save DoP for a new model and their marketing department could brag about that.

BTW, even QLS implemented DoP for their relatively cheap QA360 already. So far that could be the only non-iOS DAP out there with DoP enabled.

Very interesting!

Guys, i have this playlist problem with the ak240 and it's driving me crazy. Whenever i created a playlist using the ak240 containing songs from both the internal memory and the sdcard, song from the sdcard after a while will just disappear from the list (after turning the device off and turn back on). Is there any way to get around it? I have tried a different sdcard and have the same problem..... thanks for any help

Ok, found on pg 188 that this is a known problem. I guess i will have to move all my songs to the internal storage for now. This is not an issue in AK120, can't believe it occurs in AK240.......

The music app was re-worked on? Now it'll be interesting to see if that this issue will be a problem on the new AK120 II (& AK100 II) or not.

My AK240 arrived yesterday afternoon. I spent lat night loading music and hopefully i will get to have a play with it today.

In checking the system information i found it has firmware version 1.09 loaded. What firmware number are we up to and is it better than what i have ?
I ask this because i read that later firmware has messed with the EQ which i have no intention of using and want the player to be a neutral as possible.
Is it true that later firmware has the sound "boosted" with EQ off ?

Thanks a lot.. looking forward to not getting much work done today...

Enable wifi and you can update OTA. I believe 1.11. Can't say if it's better or not IMHO.

On a side note, I'm getting my AK240 back today from Shigzeo :D.
