Hi,Samsung have no idea with this problem. We have reported it with Apple technical support and still waiting for their answers.
Yes. Hi,for there is no google play services in M6/M9, even you install the Youtube music you can't log-in, so we can not add it.
Hi, do you turn on the Gapless Playback function? Maybe you can send me some sample music so i can check it. Pls send it to llc@fiio.net, thank you!
Thanks that sounds fine @WianFiiO @FiiO ! I did a thorough test by impersonating whitelisted apps, and I sent you an email with the information I found. Here's an excerpt of the email: I've tested a few non whitelisted apps with the process above in order to see which ones are adequate for the M6. I've been quite impressed with a few. Here some thoughts: FiiO Music 1.0.1 (from X7): This one is no brainer, it seems to work totally fine, I hope it comes with the next FW update Youtube Vanced/NewPipe: Youtube alternatives. Both work very well, although you (we) might not want video in the M6, there's the possibility to listen to music in it. Vanced has an additional package, MicroG (that I couldn't test) that allows you to login to your own YT account. NewPipe is extremely light and doesn't need or want any login, very clever app, recommended. VLC: The classic free video app, also allows for music playing, even with smb support (NAS/LAN windows servers access!). Chromecast casting may work or not, it's a little tricky in itself. Recommended. Samba Player: This one only plays from local samba (smb) shares. Very light and free too. Works very good! Recommended Smart AudioBook: Works great so far, only gotcha is the app is a basic + trial affair; without Google Services you won't be able to upgrade, but the basic should keep working. Audiobook Player is great too, unfortunately there's a little glitch (the screen seems to be too small and the player controls are overlapped with the chapters list; it works but it's a little nuisance); maybe a message to the developer and they would address it. Pulsar: This free music app has a beautiful interface and it works fine so far. Recommended Others I tried (Audible, HifiCast,AudiobookPlayer,JetAudio,Listen, SmartAudioBook, n7Player, Pulsar, HibyMusic) won't work .. or only partially. ATTENTION: Could be a problem of the decompiling! They should be given a try still!! Specially Listen: Apparently HibyMusic is too big for the M6 as @JamesFiiO said, it doesn't even start up. Audible does start, lets you login and then won't let you access your library. HifiCast works in an old version with a warning about not having Google Services in the device. Newer versions will simply crash. Maybe a message to the developer.. again.. (it's a very good app) Listen keeps crashing at startup Others like Neutron or UApp did work as long as I can remember - but they are trial/limited apps that you won't be able to upgrade. Same thing with the pretty JetAudio and the original n7player.
Fiio i guess you should allow users to beta test your white listed apps list. this way you should be able to speed up fixing the compatible app as per the feedback by the beta users.
Hope you fix gapless playback in the next update of FiiO Music Player app on Google Play Store. In version 1.1.2., while it's nice to see that the character encoding issues are now fixed (e.g. Ø, É, Ñ, etc. now displays properly instead of weird Chinese characters ), gapless playback doesn't work properly when using an external DAC/AMP like the Topping NX4-DSD, even though I made sure that it's turned on in the settings; it seems like the gapless playback function only works on the smartphone's own internal DAC (aka its own 3.5mm jack). Also, song information ticker text/scrolling animation (e.g. when the song info is too long to show) seems to be gone for some reason; in the older versions, it used to have that scrolling ticker text animation. Please also fix that. @FiiO please read this. Thanks.
@WianFiiO @JamesFiiO Hi, is there a chance for a new version of the FiiO bluetooth MMCX cable (RC-BT) with BT 5.0 and aptX HD or even LDAC?
Hi FiiO, thank you for expanding the whitelist for apps for the M6-9. Are there direct download links on the FiiO homepage available? Similar to this one: https://fiio.com/newsinfo/91534.html Thanks.
Another question: Why is the FiiO music app in the last firmware update of M6/M9 not updated from 1.1.0 to 1.1.2? Thanks Edit: inserted "M6/M9" for clairification.
