Those don’t look like Serratus.

That's because it's a Serratus driver in a stainless steel metal, bell-shaped shell (rather than the MX500 shell of the original Serratus). Quite a beautiful specimen if I may say so!

Where did you get that?

I thought I had refreshed my page but I didn’t see this had already been answered. Idk how to delete

all goood welcome to Head-Fi.

TGXears would be an interesting entry into head-fi they are a lot of bang for your buck.

Get a Fiio BTR7 & a Serratus and you be 😎 ( I haven’t heard the Fiio BTR7 but I expect it to be excellent).

Thank you!

I’ve been a long time reader of Head Fi and other audio forums but first time poster to confirm the insane price to performance of TGXear. My first foray into HiFi was with a pair of Yamaha EPH-100 back in 2016 before Chi Fi had entered the IEM market (as far as I knew) and you had to pay a good bit more for less performance.

Since then I’ve owned KSC75/Porta Pro, HD6XX, (as well as a few less notable headphones) and currently Blessing 2 Dusk and Focal Clears.

I received my Ripples (S/N 29) a few days ago and am thoroughly enjoying them. Possibly enough to replace the Clears but I still haven’t set them head to head yet.

Plus if I sell the Clears it’ll be easier to justify buying Totem (that’s the next TGXear flagship right?)

Please find my review for the Ripples here. This is just one mans opinion, but I hope it helps provide some insight. Fingers crossed we get more points of observation and perspective as Jim makes his way through the Ripples waiting list.

I want to echo the sentiment of the past few pages of this thread. TGXear buds all offer heaps of value for your money if isolation is not a requisite. I feel very fortunate to add the Ripples to my collection.

Well the review is just awesome. Just enough to justify my ripples purchase. I am looking for another pair of bud. I'm Confused between yincrow rw-2000 and Fiio ff5 (I have the ff3). Just curious, how these two compare with the ripples?

Fit. Frequency response is fine, if a little bottom heavy. I have the same problem with Serratus. They are just not comfortable.
It’s interesting that buds hurt your ears. I can see how they would fall out easily for some people but I’m surprised that they would hurt with how they just sit in your ears.

I guess they are pressing up against part of your ear? Maybe a bell shell would be better since it’s smaller?

To you tgx fanboys who have both shell and bell, which do you prefer or reach for most often?

I'll try them both for fit, but is there anyone with both types who reaches for one over the other?

Thanks my buds😂
