Can anyone suggest a Universal upgrade from PFE232
 
I have already previously owned:  Westone 4, Heir 4A
 
Would fitear f111 be an upgrade?

There are couple of universal IEMs which are clear upgrade over PFE232 like AKG k3003, Fitear 334 and they match well highend CIEMs in term of soundquality.

I think for better upgrade over PFE232, i will recommend to buy highend CIEMs(like JH13Pro, Westone ES5, UM Miracle, UERM) from here and remold them, they willbe equal or better than any universal IEMs with half of the price.

Have you seen Cosmic Ears new pre fit service?  I sympathise over the fit issues as have been through hell trying to get a decent set of customs!

I have the 232 and recently sold my JH13's. I preferred the 232 with grey filters over the JH13. I have also read posts where people who have tested the K3003 against the 232 and preferred the 232. The point is that there is no clear upgrade, it depends on your subjective tastes. I would ask the OP what do you currently like about the 232 and what would you like improved?

I own FitEar F111, so let me try to answer it for you : I can't really answer this for you since the answer to this question is way too subjective. Whether F111 is an upgrade to PFE232 is entirely up to your preferences.
 
I mean, if you don't even know what kind of improvements you are looking for, how can anyone answer your questions?
