Thank you so much! Do you I just apply this update over the "Walkman_One_WM1_(21_09)" version? Or should I revert to stock and then install it?

Unfortunately you'll have to revert to stock first.

In the next update I'll try making it easier to also have simple updates, alongside full releases for people who are installing the firmware coming from stock.

And you find those settings work with all of your earphones? If you don't mind me asking which earphones from your collection would you say works best with the 1Z? I was thinking about investing in the IER-Z1R but I've yet to pull the trigger do to the price and possible fit issues...
The best IEM's I have are the Solaris SE and Andromeda Gold. Both are amazing with the DHC Clone Silver balanced cable on the 1Z. My Solaris 2020 (which I mainly use with the 1A) also sounds great with the 1Z. It comes down to do you prefer a warmer IEM like the Solaris family or a more analytical IEM like the Andromeda.

When I go into the settings file after applying the update, it only showed J available. I typed in J3 and the bootleg later showed that J3 is selected. Does this mean I have the new region? Thanks.

Yes, it only show in the setting file if it gets recreated by deleting it before installing the beta version.

Yes, it's ok now.

The settings file can be deleted even after installing the firmware. If the settings file doesn't exist when booting up the player, it will be automatically created.

Dumb question, but just to confirm, the "Walkman_One_J_Test_(03_03)" firmware only adds J1/J2/J3 regions? If I decide to switch my region back to "J" it should sound the same as it was with "Walkman_One_WM1_(21_09)" on J region?

Yes of course. Nothing else changed apart from the addition of the new regions.

What about applying this software to pure Japanese unit? I mean the version that comes only with japan language without an option to change to any other. Have someone applied MrWalkman's firmware to such device?
What do you want to know about it? I have anyway, and I think a lot of other people here also have a Japanese WM1A/Z.

Basically, installing the MrWalkman's cfw will set your device in English (with possibility to change the language), and all the othere functionalities discussed here.

I mean that from Japan you can buy 2 different units. One that comes with japan only language and the other with language options. I'm just wondering if the pure Japan version might be different enough to not accept MrWalkman's firmware for some reason.

The firmware can be installed onWalkmans from any region. Everything will work and sound the same with the same settings applied.
