No. FEv2 has 2 modes (as has dawn and midnight) where the classic mode is the same as the previous FE fw and plus mode is an enhanced mode (That consumes 20-25% more battery).

FEv2 is a dual boot custom firmware. The classic mode has the same tuning as the original FE and the the plus mode has the same tuning as the FE+. This was done to give you that added convenience of having 2 different tunings in your player. Hope that clears it up.

that’s exactly what I thought. I’ve moved back from Dawn and had numerous folders called FE so wanted to check I had definitely moved to the correct one

finally got myself a wm1a again after owning them more than a couple of years ago to try out these mods… just a quick question i keep on reading about chameleon 2.0 and FE+ but cant seem to find where to get them? Been backreading like crazy not sure if i missed it thanks in advance… basically i just want to try the 1z sound on my 1A… thanks in advance guys

Then install Midnight as that is what it's designed for.

Older versions are not there anymore. Maybe someone saved a copy and can send it to you.

I posted a link to chameleon 2.0 a few pages back. That’s the closest and best representation of the 1Z sound on the 1A. Even midnight adds external tuning. Try Chameleon 2.0 if you want the 1Z sound on 1A.
