I have had my ZX300 less than a year. Not going to get a new DAP.

Suggests its a better value than the one before, technically it seems like the ZX500 is identical to the ZX300 (Same playback specifications, Same output power, same connections(except USB-C vs wm-port)).
Idk to me it doesnt make any sense to switch to the ZX500 since I when I use streaming, I am on the go and my phone is good enough.

Does anyone still have the updater of FW2.01? Could you please upload it for me? I don't think its on the Sony site anymore. I just update to 2.02 version and I think I hear the difference in sound that I don't like. Thanks

While it's true that the page of the older update got removed, you can still gain access to the file by editing the url of the newest version (at least up to 2.00 version). In case of 2.01, it goes like this: http://walkman.update.sony.net/fw/pc/ZX300/NW-ZX300_V2_01.exe

Hello everyong, i have been reading through the whole discussion and i see that the battery life and the portability is the main reason that many preffer ZX300 over M11 and i would like to get a last little push to decide which one should i go for.
I can choose between a ZX300 for 190 euros or a M11 for 320 euros, and i'm not sure if it's really worth spending 100+ euros more for the M11.
How is the sound quality difference between these two? That could also be a good reason to choose one over another.

Well, it's quite obvious that is a second hand one, but i will make sure to get a clean one.
They're from China, i use the app "XianYu" and negotiate with people that want to sell stuff; people there really like to update equipment every time, so there's a lot of people trying to save up for ZX500 and sell their ZX300.

If you buy a used item, you may have problems with battery life. I would buy something like the new R5 in Spain if i were you... .

I have a zx300 for sale, for about the same price, but only selling in hong kong, it's like 99% new.
it's not listed yet, and it isn't because of the zx500, I still like my zx2.
