more like 75% of single ended i think :D
That is what I get from WM1Z Balanced. Most of the time DSD will drain it down to 12 hours or so but with FLAC I got about 17-20 hours...unless I check into the sound processing stuff such as D.C. Phase linearization ....eq....etc...then it goes down to around 12 hours or so...but most of the time, I would rate that depends on the usage that I throw at it....12-20 hours....and I don't have those MP3 stuff

I manly have my stuff in flac buy some tracks are not released in wav/flac quality one example would be Diplo - Set Me Free, I would pay way more than normal for a legit flac from this track

And this is what breaks it a little bit for me as I am an eq user and I see no reason not to use BAL if you buy a Sony dap, as it is better, so if battery life is approx 12 hours that is only a little bit better than most.

Dont forget that WM1Z is powerful and that I drive it out of Utopia either :). Most of the other stuff nowadays go max to 7.5 hour or so...Balanced and Eq and so on...that the WM1Z almost doubled...little ? I don't think so. However, feel free to enjoy 7.5 hours max, if you prefer it

That's great but I was thinking about this player though.

No doubt the WM1Z is great but I can't stop thinking that I could build a better system for the money if it doesn't have to be portable. That said, it depends on what you value most, portability, sq, battery etc.

So we have the final specs of the long-awaited child :

- 64gb memory + micro sd
- USB DAC
- Balanced out
- 11.2MHz DSD native playback1, 384kHz/32bit PCM and MQA support
- Bluetooth, aptX and LDAC
- $699 MSRP available at the end of October

Looks like the electronic design is a hybrid between ZX100 and WM1A.

Well we knew that already... whats actual news is that the balanced output is 200mW per channel

The price is too high. On-board capacity drops to 64 gb, battery life drops and the design is clearly based upon the two year old design of the ZX100. The price should have been 599$ max.
I cannot buy this with any rational consideration, not with that price.
I dont think so, it adds alot of new features. MQA, aptx HD, 200mW per Channel in balanced. I think the price is alright for msrp. It wont release that soon but before Christmas and if you buy it around Christmas time it will be about 100$ cheaper
