Nice…I was under impression that it didn’t work. Paging @damascato

My understanding is that the developer got frustrated with a particular user and removed "official" support. You may have to tweak UAPP settings->Internal HiRes audio->Buffer size.

Also like to dismiss some wrong information posted in this thread recently.

The S-Master HX chip itself is certainly capable of handling delay free audio playback. The older WH-1000XM2 noise cancelling headphone is using the S-Master HX chip. It would be impossible for the WH-1000XM2 to perform its active noise cancellation functions if the S-master HX is not capable of outputting the real time anti-noise sounds to cancel out noise that it picks up from the microphones.

Even in the older M1 walkman, they have found some firmware tweaks/mod that can help to reduce the latency of USB dac mode:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/son...are-non-android.943661/page-465#post-16901468

The Implementation of the S-Master HX, not the IC itself.

And the firmware tweaks/mods caused buffer underruns (which is, surprise, exactly the reason the delay exists in the first place, to prevent exactly this).

Its amazing how everyone thinks, Sony is just to stupid to do it (even though they are able to do it on cheap, entry level, consumer hardware). This delay is by intention and the Walkman is not the only DAP that has this feature (yes, its a feature).

FiiO has a driver for windows to modify the buffer size while warning, to you will run in buffer underruns when you try to get live audio.

You don't buy a 3700$ DAP to watch 128kbps Streaming Videos, there are more than enough USB Dungles as a solution for that.

And if you want to enjoy High Quality Audio from BluRays, you can use, as mentioned, VLC, mpv or any other Player that can adjust the delay (its -350ms) and the problem is solved.

And could you please stop spamming random YouTube videos unrelated to the topic. You've done that now several times and its unnecessarily bloating up the thread.

I'm listening comfortably at 50 with the HD800S and it sounds marvelous. No processing, just a slight low end boost on EQ. I have another cable incoming to try because this one is too stiff for my liking.
What frequency did you boost? Yeah 50 is way too low. I haven't tried another cable yet as it's in storage so I'm at 90-100 depending on the song on high gain.

Volume will depend on the song you are listening to. Some songs with high DR will require higher volume. So do share the songs you guys are listening to for volume matching

Fair point.

But I'm also streaming Sirius XM radio too.

There is a slight variation in volume but I'm still at 40/120 at a nice comfortable bedtime level. But the NW-WM1AM2 can definitely drive the HD800S to unsafe levels too. Something I don't do.
