@dissembled @luisdent thanks for your suggestions. Can't use iTunes unfortunately as most of my library are Flac files. So will go for the 3 software solution, not an issue if it works. Thanks again

I've used easytag successfully with mint linux. works great too. just have to be sure you fully apply the album art (it's a slightly odd procedure). that works with flac.

Just to clarify, I have all my music on my lap top windows 10. I load my cds onto winows media player. ...And just drag and drop into my mp3 audio players. With the art work. Some I havery to paste myself if not found. Via Google images.
So this Sony will be OK with my music then ?
I have read about some artwork might fail.. but apart from that will I be OK.
Thanks in advance..... Amazon UK might be getting a order soon if I'm ok
I load in wma not in mp3

Regarding the album artwork I found a good site for finding good quality images - https://bendodson.com/projects/itunes-artwork-finder/. I guess it has anything that might be in the itunes store. I find it useful at times.

Artwork won't display if the JPEG format is either "optimized" or "progressive". It needs to be "baseline" for the player to display it correctly. All photos from Google images are in baseline format and will work no problem.
