I dont think i have that much of sensitive ears to a superb SQ to do a objective review but i can highlight on other stuff but yeah same hoping for a head fi a45 reviewI would be interested in an objective review of A35 or A45. I am unable to find any through Google search.
My main point is that other DAPs can drive low and high impedance cans, sound equally or better while A3/4x is limited unless you upgrade to Sony's $$$$ DAPs. Also, efficency matters when power draw is 10 or 100s of watts not milliwatts. Even Sennheiser's HD650 requires only 3mW for about 100dB SPL.
A typical DAC consumes 100-300 mW while the actual power delivery to the earphone/headphone is only a few mW. So, the power efficiency argument doesn't hold.
I come from an engineering background and read research papers published in AES and spec sheets of electronic components. The science is solid so I am not going to ignore it unless there is proof to the contrary.
So, distortion matters though its audibility is program specific meaning depending on the music it might be significant.

I know a few have bought this case...
How do you find the buttons work with it? Especially Play/FF/RW.

if you look back, i have posted a few images with it, the buttons are more rigid, but i feel they still work, and i can get use to it although not as clickable as without the case. Its pretty good i feel, but as with every tpu case, it will turn yellow later on.I know a few have bought this case...

I've seen this case in "clear black". I ordered one but it hasn't arrived yet. I guess what they mean by clear black is it's transparent but has a blackish tint to it so that type of case might not turn yellow.

That's what I was thinking as well. The tinted should fare better in that regard.
In the end I bought one of these instead... https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Sony-C...var=440961865857&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 ...as I decided a holster case would be more useful for me. Got the Walkman W8 size since the W8 is 99m x 54mm and the A45 is 97mm x 56mm.

Well the case you bought certainly looks like it would protect well. I use a small camera case with a zipper when I'm traveling to work plus the case that fits right on the A45...might be overkill I know...

Need something with a belt clip more esp. in the summer when jackets and pockets tend to go away so the TPU case wasn't gonna do that or protect as well.

Yes you are right about that when the warm weather comes but for me I usually get to work fairly early and here even in the summer it's cool enough in the mornings to wear a light jacket...now going home it might be too warm but I'll just put it in my jacket pocket and carry the jacket over my shoulder.
I have been listening with clear audio on and am starting to like it a lot. Anyone else?
I've been using clear audio too and I really like it. sounds great!
I dont really like clear audio as it changes the sound too much. Sounds a little "artificial"
same, actually especially vocals, it becomes a bit "electronic"I dont really like clear audio as it changes the sound too much. Sounds a little "artificial"

Just a matter of taste I guess. I find the sound to be quite pleasant and I listen to mainly pop, rock & folk from the 1970's.
I tried clear audio but nothing for me.I use these custom made EQ settings. +3+2 0 +2+2+3 .Give it a try and you will be surprised.
All other settings are off.And my headphone is a Bang and Olufson H2.

OK, I tried it out and it is definitely an improvement over the clear audio. I didn't know it could sound so good! Thanks!
