Pretty much this! If we all prefer and agree on the same thing, then the world would be boring

In the same vein, not sure why our overzealous mods deleted my pithy response, supposedly the holy grail of head-fi is ultimate transparency and direct musical reproduction. The IER-Z1R is a good iem with its share of flaws that few, qualitatively, would argue absolutely transcends the market at its price range. Like Whitigir ironically implied, it is more another expensive flavor than a leap in sound quality. It is very much indicative of the market. Some of these people are much more familiar with some technicalities than logic, assuming they know what they're talking about. Keep in mind this is the same alchemist who transformed, supposedly, the tiny iBasso module amp from its value of $200 + $130 to beating $6k of desktop gear the enthusiastic reviewer claimed he needed five figures to upgrade for superior performance. If it wasn't for mods I'll make this place even funnier than it already is. But alas, let's be civil.

Hey guys, is burn in a thing? I've two pairs of z1r. They sound slightly different. Newer one sounds brighter more exciting.

Hours on both? Burn-in is a thing and while I'm uncertain about the IER-Z1R due to source changes I made Redcarmoose has claimed its burn-in should make a serious positive difference.
