I believe the 800st cable is slightly longer then the EX1000 because it's made for studio use. Personally I find the original EX1K cable THE most comfortable and solid cable I have ever used! I would buy 5 spare ones If they were still available!

Yeah, EX800ST cable is longer and thinner, with shorter ear hooks and a less premium looking 3.5mm jack. Agree with @heimis the EX1K stock cable is great

hmm interesting, so L side is White and the gold plating is black on 1000, one thing tho, the one I find seem to have a different jack altogether from yours, do they come in different variation?

That might be the EX600 cable? I believe the American EX1000’s came with the EX600 cable

Yeah, it looks like the EX600 cable. I did a search on EX600 and it looks the same as your one

Alright i finally have some mmcx to ex1k adapter en route, excited to try a few cables on them. Be cool to see if i can hear any difference. My main thing hear though is this, for anyone familiar with the ex600, what is your favorite tips for them? I use them nightly for television watching, but have yet to find a use for them musically. Right now i have some asg sureseals on them because, like the name implies they seal well. Those tips are good on the ex1k but i dont get the feeling theyre decent for music on the ex600. I want to find the sweet spot with these for vocal centric music, like maybe some of mark lanegans solo stuff or mad seasons amazing album. I can tell they have potential but when i have the ex1k sitting here it seems unfair.

I sincerely recommend Wm1z with Ex1000 after recent updates Wm1z 3.02 firmware + spring / U region /
it exceeds the wildest expectations that's the best sounding Ex1000 I've ever heard!!!!
