Every time I listen to my 800s I love them more. To me these IEMs are just the best ever. What I really love is they work with ANY recording, old or new, bad or good. All of it sounds amazing.

You can say it's a different sig, slightly less bass.

Hadnt you said before that they were better for vocals? Or am i thinking of something or someone else?

Yes, these were sony's monitor iem, made for vocals.

I got both actually, EX600 does sound like little brother of EX1000, both are great. EX1000 more dynamic and have an attack, EX600 more like monitor, flatter version of EX1000, less highs, less bass but still good texture. a balanced natural flat iem with all those micro details in all region of frequencies.

I have been using the Ex1000 for more than two weeks and they are amazing for classical music, without becoming tiresome, with a scene, a timbre and an instrumental separation difficult to overcome in an IEM. Since yesterday I am using them with balanced cable (a bit rigid and very microphone) to my Sony NW-WM1A and they are even better. It's true that with bad recordings they are too revealing. I imagine you have already asked several times, but what are the best tips for this IEM for you? For now, Spiral Dots have given me a better result, a smaller size that I usually use to try a deeper insertion.

from several tips i have, im on the same boat that spiral dots provide best sound and fit, other than that i switch to radius deep mount (also JDM tips like spiral dots) for improving micro details and sub bass (more texture), in a trade of wider soundstage using spiral dots. they have their own benefits and cons.
