I'd recommend apos.audio for MoonDrop and some ChiFi stuff, They are really awesome. If theres any Issue with the IEM itself, they'll take care of it without you shipping it back to China.

Apos Promises
  • Free Priority Shipping (3-7 Business Days) Along with the Option for Express Shipping for $8!
  • Price Match Guarantee
  • Apos 2-Year Warranty
  • 45-Day Return
Thanks! Actually Moondrop just posted teasing picture of indevelopment “B-EST”. Blessing’s EST project which I’m guessing it will land the EST hotspot of $449-470.

As B2 OG & B2 Dusk owner that os long time longed my last utopia, because I rate Dusk 89/100, B2 OG 86/100. If Moondrop keepts same tuning with Dusk, and adding EST, I’m pretty sure it will land over Thieaudio Monarch, of which I’m not thinking S8 as 8BA Harman curve will land anywhere close.

My only dream IEM was:
-Blessing2 shell&design
-LCP bass dynamic diver
-Softears MID BA x4
-Anole VX Treble BAx4
-2EST (not 4EST, not too much)

and B-EST seemed satisfied 60% of my ideal

I’m pretty sure the cable they used for proto-B-EST is Moondrop 6N Single Crystal Pure Copper OCC cable, if anyone wondered.

what is all the fuss here?
Does someone have a comparison between the RSV and Inear SD5 or Moondrop ble2 Dusk? Thank you.
Could offer a comparison with SD5. RSV is much more refined, though. RSV also sounds dynamic, but the treble has a much greater sense of realism. If you're used to the SD5 and like the big bass, the Softears might seem a bit lean and analytical at first. But in the end, RSV is the much better allrounder and I'd prefer it for Rock, Classical or Jazz. Anything, really.

I have shared measurements of both here: https://83db.eu/measurement-database/

Curious about the S8 vs RS10. Frequency response is nearly the same but can the S8 compete with the RS10 in terms of soundstage and resolution.
The price tells me, that the S8 (considering resolution and soundstage) is closer to RSV than RS10, innit?

Both RSV and Dusk shares very similar upper-mid tuning, one of the best fit on my personal HRTF.
I'd still say RSV got better hands for treble and air presentation than Dusk.

RSV is a reality simulator.

nice. that kinds of brings up the value proposition of the Dusk even more, seeing how similar tuned they are.
That's an amazing and detailed chart, makes me wanna stop reading Twister6

RSV’s positioning and imaging TOTL class, but for best value to cost, yes Dusk is the to go👍

Apologies for the shameless plug, but I’m letting go of my RSV for anyone interested! Gotta feed my upgraditus disease and save up. https://www.head-fi.org/classifieds/for-sale-softears-rsv-iems.4789/
Yea it's a personal resonance thing, if you fit, RSV ring the bell, if not, it's just a pleasant-sounding IEM.

I'd recommend try test your pinna gain around 3khz, if you hear a resonance around 3khz of RSV's FR chart, you will most likely find a good spot hitter. If you get like 2.5khz or 3.5khz gain hit, you may pass RSV.

This site is useful as you can sine sweep your IEM with your ear as well, can tell spikes of your IEMs if a certain pitch sounds louder or recessed.

Proto-B-Est hmm. EST flavored trebles at an affordable price?

Dream setup = I'm more interested in >10mm big dynamic driver bass + 4x Softears Mid-D BA + some well-tested knowles or sonion.

The 4x mid ba on S8/RSV/RS10 is very nice to have, might be one of the best sounding mids I've ever heard.

The future barrier is tight/faster bass response and clear trebles without being screechy.
