Design looks quite good. Grills look like that of a Grado and i hope the Shures will have similar open sound like a Grado.

To me, they do look like an open-backed 940 but with a much nicer headband assembly. I think we'd be looking around $450-$499 perhaps? Just a hunch..

Their weight is interesting, the 1840 is the higher model yet weighs less at only 268 gram, compared to the lower model 1440 weighing a quite heavy 343 gram
