How's the Grado/Burson pairing?

I had the Empyreans and Soloist for a short period and it worked really well in making the Empyreans a little less relaxed. Wondering how it does with Grados.

Wholeheartedly agreed. Despite the heavily pushed mantra "it's all about the music" for many this hobby is also about collecting and playing around with audio gear as well. And why not? To each their own!

Actually, I have been using some form of DSP (EQ) for thirty years for car audio, room correction and headphones, so I don't need to fiddle with it much. This LCD-XC has been with me since early 2021 so I have not touched my EQ settings on this (accept for an occasional twist of the bass knob) in nearly 2 years. It is really perfect as is. Now I certainly do enjoy the gear hunt and I really do enjoy the initial challenge of setting up headphones to my preferences though. I wish this new remote app that RME has released was out several years ago, when I had more than a dozen headphones at once, would have been very convenient.
