I'm still thinking that over. Part of my confusion is I haven't had a TT set up for decades, but still have ~1500 LPs stored in boxes and have no idea what to do with them (other than throw them away, which is the worst thing I can think of). Under the circumstances, the last thing I'd do is buy a new record.

Maybe it makes sense because human nature never makes sense: ie, plenty of people who buy/consume porn never have sex (with a partner, I mean).

Funny you'd say that. I've seen plenty of Mytek gear, and beyond the restrained form factor of some of the amps & DACs, never much cared for the design sensibility on display there (that goes for the fishscale case).

It probably doesn't help that the few times I listened to Mytek gear it struck me as a little too neutral for comfort...

The Brooklyn DAC+ I have is the most beautiful piece of gear in my setup. I love the casework, the UI is tremendous, so is the display.

But I agree with you, it leans towards analytical. If I listen to it alone it's fine. But if I listen to the the RME next to it, close enough in time, I'm not really happy with the sound of the Mytek. It's a great diagnostic tool and coming from a pro audio company, it made sense. But Mytek left that world abruptly and is firmly in hifi now, and I guess they will have to get some warmth or not sell much if people have a chance to compare in a shop.

Trying to go through all the pictures. Looking for the cleanest setup that has the audio rack on the desk. My plan is to get some bookshelves or floorstanding on the sides of my 72" wide desk. I don't want the rack to get in the way. Any ideas?

I will probably have the Dave+Farad3, AHB2 and Envy. So 3 tiers should be enough.
