I wont shill IE900
Its a very good iem actually. One of the deepest bass(rivaling Z1R which has 13mm dynamic and which goes deep)

Soundstage is out of my head

But, my issue comes with the diffuse presentation and excited treble region

Well, its done million times better than Andromeda on uppermidrange and treble, but i find, the tuning makes me loose imaging focus. I mean, instrument is blurry in fundamentals, and the air seems to come alive.. hard to pin point the very exact distance of instrument(when i close my eyes) , everything feels distant and shimmery..

But, ending note is.... It is a huge leap from IE800 and IE800s

Just that, Senn, just a bit more uppermidrange 3kHz, just a bit more And this iem will be one of the best soundstaging iem

Comparing against U12T.
U12T destroys almost every iem, but Z1R bass creeps up to U12T.
U12T has a last harmonic shimmer, which kinda adds a nice sparkle without being bright...(shimmer)

Whereas, IE900 comes out to be bright and more resolving and dynamic on cymbal

On uppermidrange and midrange, U12T takes the crown by a mile

Hi guys, does IE900 use regular MMCX port? I mean that can it be used with regular MMCX connector on the market?

O.K., another ear tip success, this time thanks to a strong rec from @gLer : Acoustune AET07 (size L, yellow bore, for me).

I was very dubious as to fit/seal because I doubted size L would be quite L enough, hahaha. I added a pair into an order with MTMT to get the free shipping, and glad I did.

I tried CP100+ with great success also today. My AET07 arrived this week but not yet tried.

Seriously considering the 900 with the Brise Audio cable. only hesitation is the few QC issues mentioned and of course DigitalRiver. recommend ordering from moon audio or headphones.com? doubt there are any sales on these out there for anything less than retail?

Faults are inevitable with any electronic item, the norm when I used to work in the industry was up to about 5% failure rate, above that was cause for concern. Terrible to read reports though of how DigitalRiver handle the issue and I can certainly see how that would put people off. Are Amazon not selling them yet? - at least there you can be sure of a replacement or refund if any problems.

Further tip testing - the AET07 didn't work out for me, a touch too small on IE900 but I suspect fine for some others. I tried BGVP W01 tips that arrived this week and they are excellent, relatively cheap too via AliExpress.

Yes, with the caveat that they're slightly recessed, so you'll need connectors with housings that permit an extra 1mm of insertion depth. Otherwise standard mmcx. The reason it's done this way is to prevent strain on the connector when it sits flush, like regular mmcx. Most third party manufacturers now offer IE900 compatible connectors so it's no biggie if you want to cable roll (unless you have existing flush mmcx cables that don't fit).

This is the correct response, thank you!

Ok so I guess that some sort of list should be put together of regular mmcx cables that can’t be used with the “regular” mmcx port of the IE900 so that newcomers like @ducnsh don’t have to go digging for this info and waste their money on buying unusable cables. So far all of the standard Dunu cables don’t fit as I believe they all use the same cable connections as the blanche cable. Also, many of the effect audio cables outside of the new ‘ConX’ interchangeable sockets will not fit as they use flush connections….

Unfortunately there is no way to use the DUNU Blanche with the IE 900s.

The cable connector (6.1mm diameter) does not fit into the IEM recess.

The Effect Audio ConX connectors instead perfectly match:

Confirmed by Lachlan wrt effect audio and ie 300
