  I heard a few months ago the member I sold my ASG-2 ended up breaking them. All that love and effort I poured into them, 1564 cable changes and their life ended.
 
I was pretty devasted when I heard. So the pair throughout this thread in all the photos, players, cables from me are no more.

I can't believe I'm putting hours into it actually I found The ARCH ENEMY sense of metal rhythms is more enjoyable and better suited on my ears than those metal heads you had shared with me previously . Maybe it's due to both present / past lead vocals are female .. i enjoy Both Alissa white gluz , angela gossow . Very good .

In what way is the 2.5 far superior?

Been watching the youtube vid of ex800st with vent mod review, opinion seems like its sick earphone...

Wanted to say something about Arch Enemy as I listened to them a few times when I was really young but that voice right now, it just can't sit right in my ears...
 
By the way, their instrumentals are really sweet.
 
Also, you personally seem to like the rawest possible type of music. Let me give you the best (worst?) I know.

the bass is totally different type of bass, the asg 2.5 is the only one that gives you the felling that you have a bass like an air blow in your ears, the best bass ever
 
i listened to the sony ex800st as my friend owns it and I did not like it at all, it sounds a bit not natural in the mids, and the highs are just strange
 
the only one i did not hear is the sony ex1000,
 
also i owned the sony z5 and it was ok but the fit issue was really bad for me a torture sort of speak
 
also i own the sony xb90ex which is total rubbish by all standards
 
asg 2.5 is the king of bass among all iems i heard, second one in bass department is the ibasso it03 and then ref1
 
best iem I ever heard is of course my empire ears zeus r and soon I will own the zeus xr adel , second in terms of all around sound signature comes both ibasso it03 and sennheiser ie800, but make no mistake non has a bass like asg 2.5 or its huge sound stage. Also ref1 is a great iem but i had issues with peaks in the highs that was causing me to perceive it a bit harsh but it had the best sound stage compared to all iems

no not vented,  simply even if it was vented the whole thing is not up there among the names i mentioned

oh ok. Taping the vent closed apparently turns this into a bass cannon. I can't comment on it from personal experience. Hawaiibadboy has a very interesting review of this on youtube, check out the vid. Its on here under ex800st review also. I know he's a basshead to the extreme, has helped me in other choices, mainly sz1000/2000, c5 and mojo.

He had the 2.5 and rates these more so as the bass master, that's why im curious to other people's experience between the two, must have vent mod though.

You got a nice selection of kit in your profile bud.

Im saving up for vega, but this sony has really puqued my interest. The 2.5 attracted me for so long also
