[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-2 & 2.5 (with many comparisons)
Dec 12, 2016 at 2:31 PM Post #6,811 of 7,021
I'm having an issue with my right side driver, it keeps on cutting in and out and comes back at times sans bass.

Then out of the blue it will work perfectly until its moved again.

I thought it must be the cable, but it isnt.

Oddly enough i think it is the actual eartip as when I have taken the comply tips off the driver works fine????

Anyone have any clues how to rectify this?

Im in the UK so things are even harder to sort for me!

Much appreciated!

From what I understand is , AS long as all of the repair work is internal only (ie nothing cosmetic) then they can repair them. Non replacement / repairing works on damage shell ie crack / broken because they're not into ASG shell lineup anymore .

However, the cost will be determined by whatever the failure may be. If it is a driver issue that it would have to replace, that will be more expensive than a solder joint to fix.
Work per set could be anything ranging between from $75 to $200 depending on the issues .

So the sound comes in and out depending on if I squeeze the casing.

Sometimes it comes back and works perfectly.

Any idea what it could be?
have you pulled the cable hard or changing the cable roughly?

A good way to enjoy YouTube music video on a desktop with the Sound blaster E5 .
Been using the E5 purely as a OTG with my mobile since I first bought in July together with all those Aurisonics ASG 2.5 which I had owned 3 pairs in polished chrome , acrylic black , Brushed nickel , the latter nickel are my most heavily used , daily .

Lately I been enjoying audio , videos , YouTube channel on my 6 year old Rig with my E5 + ASG 2.5 , and the experience I having with it is more than satisfaction . More than what the pairing of potable mobile could satisfy my desire . It's hell outta visual + audio exhilarating experience .

No doubt the E5 has proof to me that it's not just a perfect daily OTG companion for me but also as a workhorse for home use desktop application .
This makes me considering to upgrade the 6 year old Rig with the creative sound blaster sound card like the ZXR , but I'm happy pairing the E5 with the rig for now , until the upcoming extensive upgrades for the rig starts next February .

Now , Sharing my settings on the Sound blaster E-series control panel , together with The ARCH ENEMY - War eternal : Tour Tokyo sacrifice live concert 2015 in Full HD 1080p .
The recording quality of this video is top notch excellent with regards to audio and visual .

All tracks on the video are favorite . But there's always exceptional ones , Nemesis , you know my name , No God's No master , War eternal , as the page burn blah blah blah all you would get to experience in the video .

I love playing loud , so Minimum volume is 50% , but i couldn't go past 70% .
Iem used : Aurisonics ASG 2.5 ( Brushed nickel ) bass port tuned @ 4.50pm .

Been influenced heavily by this guy here :point_right: jmills8 with his fair share of growling video share to me from time to time , before that I don't have any penchant for Heavy metal , At most it's hard Rock for me that's it . Never touch anything Heavy metal .
But never say never , of all the metal genre I had been demo lately , I found that the melodic death metal is most suitable for my taste of metal , absolute enjoyable , absolute astounding , absolute in awe . Absolutely Bass monster .

If anyone here happen to own the sound blaster E5 and the aurisonics asg 2.5 , maybe consider hook them up on your rig and hit it with YouTube channel .

Here I present you all . Arch Enemy .

Salute and respect the Nordic !

Thank you ! It look like it was trying to simulate the way how Alissa growling in the video !

Anyway, nothing fancy there .. It's just a simple , very humble yet enjoyable enough plainly setup to satisfy my basic audio needs at home as desktop for spotify , movies , YouTube channels .
If you're interested , heavily discounted pricing does appear once in a blue moon from creative labs online store .
The same goes for the Aurisonics ASG 2.5 too over at the classified section with competitive pricing for used ones in good condition .

All in all , my experience with the combo with the asg2.5 with the creative labs E5 is a very enjoyable experience .
