Does anyone else think the stock cable really limits the ASG 2.5?  I've always had a moon audio black dragon copper cable for mine.  I tried the stock cable today because I was switching around some cables, and it really lost a lot of bass.

My 2.5 has so much bass with the Creative E5 amp, I was considering a silver cable because I can always add some bass with the E5.

The stock cable feels great but sucks sonically. Best to replace it.

It's a shame that cable comes with the 2.5.  I'm sure many people weren't very impressed with the 2.5 because of the cable.  Any other recommendations for cables like the double helix, or whiplash?  I have been pretty impressed with the black dragon from moon audio, but it is all I have tried.  Also, are there counterfeit cables out there on ebay and amazon?  Should you only buy from the manufacturer?

I have a second set of 2.5's on the way for a back up.  Hopefully Fender will bring back, or improve on the 2.5.

I also have a set of Harmony's on the way.  The 2.5's have so much bass paired with the black dragon and E5 amp.  I am hoping that cranking up the bass a little on the E5 will make the Harmony come to life.  There is no way I can crank up the bass on the 2.5 paired with the E5, so a little less bass from the Harmony might be the ticket.

I have suggested pure Silver upgrade but this DHC Fusion is highly recommended. Greater depth in the sub bass, greatly pushes the mids and extends the treble. Sound stage becomes wider and has a big dynamic over all sound. Its a super easy cable to take on the go.

I really like the linum BAX cables with the Aurisonics line. One is on my 1Plus at the moment.

I am on the hunt for a pair of 2.5's, a retailer recommended the 1 Plus as they no longer had any 2.5's left and it just wasnt for me.

Would they be suited to being powered of an ipod? I'm mainly purchasing them for their legendary bass levels.

From a phone the 2.5 can sound good but from a phone with an amp or amp/dac the 2.5 will sound much much better.

Anyone try the Naga Silver cables with the 2.5s?

No, have you tried them or any others?  I would love to hear what different cables everyone has tried with the 2.5, and what they do for the sound.

I tried a silver cable today from my UE11's that is supposed to be pretty good.  But I liked the copper black dragon better.  I definitely liked having a little better separation in the treble and the sound of the cymbals, but I missed the bass and warmth of the copper more.

So get a Copper cable that is silver plated.
