It's the flag of Sweden. Given to me by my mother-in-law who lived there for a short while. I think she just thought it would look nice in the room.

Oh, and the european vanity plate was a gag gift from a co-worker.

@emurray

I can't quite put my finger on why... but I freakin' love your room! Great job!

Hey emurray, where did you get that shelf that holds you LPs and such? I notice a lot of Ikea furniture in the room - might that be another piece?

No, not really. Granted I dont game much at all. The trick is to dial the backlight way down. I find I need hardly any at all.

It also helps to keep the desktop background solid black, and adjust your eyes to that first. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night, sitting down at the computer, then waking up the desktop to a sea of solid white

@Baines93:
Thanks man. I love my Les Paul's too.

@monolith:
Yep, I think we furnished the entire room in IKEA. Have to save money for more records! The LP shelf you are asking about is the EXPEDIT turned on it's side. I also added the drawer units from ikea. I think you can get doors for it too. Here is a link:

@httran:
Thanks for the compliments on the Sea & Cake poster. They're one of my long time favorite bands. That poster is a hand-printed wood cut and letterpress poster that was a limited edition of 100. It was from a show they played here in Indianapolis a few years ago. It was designed by this guy: crooked arm

Reminds me of my old downtown trainyard warehouse flat ...

EDIT: is that sparse area to the left where you practice your floor routine?

LOL.

(lemme dig through some old photos and I'll post something in a bit)

actually, you can see a pretty big indentation in the carpet, up until a few months ago I had a 210 gallon aquarium set up there.. got rid of it because I'm going to be moving soon.

Well the main difference is that my old train stop warehouse had 20 foot ceilings and a concrete floor ...

But otherwise ... the spartan arrangement is very very similar ...

Great looking space.

Enjoy.
