yeah, this is what i have at the moment <_< looking to buy some nice iems, trying to decide if i should go for some pfes or um3x, i know people will give me crap for buying something the price of um3x, having trouble trying to decide which to get especially since i haven't tried them before.

i think most people will tell you that you will see the most improvement in sound quality by upgrading your headphones first.

yea i had them originally for my shure headphones and pc with crap sound card, but yea, i plan on using it with a laptop and need some iems all i have atm is that >< i dont actually use the amp with those buds btw that would be weird

get a pair of the Griffin Ear Jams to hold you over till you can get a real set of IEM's. These cheap little buggers attach to the Apple ear buds and turn them into cheap-o IEM's. Work decently well till you can pop for the good stuff.

For a really nice universal IEM along the same lines of the UM3X, maybe research the Earsonics SM3. Breathtaking sound. Although I wish they had the detachable cables that are now an option with the Westones.

@High_Q: Please put a case on that sexy P3/IEM combo - I know it's really hard to scratch the aluminium body/gorrilla glass type screen, but I'd recommend being safer than sorry.
