I think X7 will destroy DP-X1 and XDP-100R
I think the opposite. Plus I didn't like the sound of X5ii compared to all my other daps, which doesn't bode well.

We know nothing sound wise from this DAP or the X7.
We know nothing much UI wise from both the DP-X1 and X7.
However, FiiO already has a user base for its DAP, which is not the case for Onkyo, so by volume one could expect the X7 would sell more.
Let's wait and see![]()

I had the original x5 and couldn't get rid of it quick enough
Hopefully now you have un subbed the quality of posts in this thread will improve.

Onkyo DP-X1 and Pioneer XDP-100R will have two separate PCB's for the digital and analog sections to stop the spreading of noise from digital components into the analog section.
Both daps feature closed loop circuitry for the dac and amp section, isolating it from the power supply which is also positioned further away. All this is to isolate dac and amp from switching noise of power supply.
Man the sexiness is ....sexy! Hi Res screen ftw!!!!
I hope I'll get some clarification on this but is that handle bar thing on the top of the dap (that looks like a scope mounting rail) only on the Pioneer one? I hope so. I can't find a reason as to why it's there. Is it to protect the cable plug from motions while in a pocket? Seems like potential issue with larger or angled barreled plugs (like Pailicc).
