Hi guys,
I have just bought an iPod Classic 7th Gen 160GB, Model A1238, Part nr MC293LL/A
I would like to Rockbox it as most of my music is in flac format and Apple's stock firmware does not support it ;(
I was wondering if some of you with this setup could advise me on what kind of battery life should I expect after installing Rockbox on my brand new iPod Classic 7th Gen 160GB?
Thanks,
Anyone ever bought the products from mapplesyrup.web.com?
Hello everyone.
I am a proud owner of an iPod Video 5.5 Gen and I have a few questions...
I'd also like to know the best way to go about creating a 480GB iPod that will be compatible with Rockbox and have the best sub bass while also providing a nice clean treble as well. I'm planning on buying beats headphones because they're the only high end headphones I've experienced that can literally make my ears vibrate when listening to music rich in tones around 10-80hz. Feel free to make other recommendations; I listen to almost all music which is why I want 480 Gigs of space. All my files are mp3 320kbps so I don't thing messing with the logic boards circuitry is necessary because I would most likely not notice a difference.
Buy these:

Replace battery with a new one from here:

Install in iPod. Restore with iTunes. Install BeyondWind's RockBox update.

Load music in blocks no larger than 40g to avoid overheating. Enjoy.
I am trying to mod a160g 7gen classic with a 240gb Crucial m500 m-sata (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQ8RKT4/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) connected to a m-sata to zif adapter that was recommended on another site( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HP01QXI/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), but its not working... help what am I doing wrong?
Gen7 does not support msata with this config. We are hoping Tarkan's new adapter will address this issue.
