Don't keep us in suspense, how goes the testing?
Had issues with the 256gb m400 Crucial card, it seemed to stop working at all, the adaptor runs great with the 24gb Sandisk card but didn't like the 480gb Crucial card.

I ordered one of those mSATA enclosures to try to format the 256gb card because it now doesn't work with any of the adapters or iPods.

The 480gb card worked great when I put it back on one of the 5.5th gen iPods.

I am also testing a new Tarkan SD to CF adapter with my Lexar 256gb card, so far it's working great but I only have loaded 123gb of music in it so further loading and testing is required. The new adapter is faster.

I have reason to believe the board is dead so a replacement may be in order... what would be the ideal replacement board 5.5, 6, 7, etc?

This is a great question. Depends on what you want to do with it.

I wanted space >500g. I am using V5.5 boards in my new mSata builds, but i am really looking forward to the Tarkan adapter for the V7. I really like the V5.5 TeraPods with RockBox. I don't listen to the others anymore. Now I am spoiled by the ability to carry everything in my collection.

I've got a Lexar in the Tarkan in a V5.5. Has about 100k on it and i am afraid to load anymore.

I guess if the 5.5 will work with my currents setup then I'll most likely go that route depending on what the eta is for that 7 adapter and price

Heads up - You will need to restore the iPod on iTunes once you switch the mSATA card to the Tarkan iFlash SATA adapter.  No biggie but I wanted to give everyone a heads up on this.

Also Tarkan is fixing the minimum initialising time specs issue that doesn't allow the Crucial 480gb mSATA card work, he is sending me a second card to test with new firmware flash.

So am I correct in understanding there is a 1tb solution in the works for the 5.5G ipod? I would be happy with 480gb, but if the chance to have 2x+ that in something so portable, I'll hold off any more purchases.

I have a question for you guys.
What is the name of IPod 5.5 gen logic board that comes with 64MB ram and a wolfson DAC?
I found that  820-1975 is a widely used name but I couldn't find any store that sells a 5.5 gen logic board with 64MB Ram and Wolfson DAC.
I would really appreciate if you can give me a link to any store that sells this logic board.
Thanks!

The board is 820-1975-A and the best place to get them I think is iDemiGods.
