I think the new Drausk v2 is now an 8-wire design, at least judging from the images on the Norne website. So I guess this would have to be a v1. But as you know, only Trevor can be sure as he does do custom build requests.

Eventhough I didn't get a reply from Trevor to my PM yet a quick shout out to Norne. Expensive as they may be, especially bringing them into the EU they're my fav upgrade cabler. Think I'm on my 3rd and the build quality alone is something else. So subtle supple and lightweight As for sound what's consistently been most striking is that they seem to do some cleaning up and give the impression of some sort of nimbleness that just isn't there with the stock cable. Good!

Edit: for the sake of correct information, Trevor confirmed it's actually the Draug2 or slightly more likely the Draug2C series which saw light at the end of 2014. The HD6XX connectors are almost certainly a retermination job by whoever owned them. Major indicator is no Norne logos ; ) What I said about sound still stands ofcourse. Goes to show newest gear needn't be chased.

I am planning to save up for one of these to use with my future Atrium Closed. The Einvaldi Reference (no longer made; “parent” of the Vykari, a fusion silver/copper cable in the same clear sleeve) is a PHENOMENAL match with the ZMF Eikons.

From what I see in my records, Drausk is 17.7 awg. While I got lucky and have an extra-thick Drausk from the early sample days of the model (below), it’s a thick, lovely copper cable with incredible presence, richness, and impact. Highly recommended.
