If going through authorised distributors, will it be 6-8 weeks or slightly longer?

That depends on a lot of things

Does the authorized distrib currently have any in stock?

Does the authorized distributor currently have any on orders placed with Noble?

When was the order placed?

Interesting

Consider this, was anyone aware that former products made by company "xxx" had poor phase until they were told they had poor phase by company "xxx"

And just because something isn't marketed doesn't mean something is being done, and nor does it imply something is being done at all.

But we do apply a secret formula into the shell housing plastic that prevents hair loss.
( the above statement is a jape)

Heheh, as a 19 year old, that secret formula for hair loss is really grabbing my attention. Does that only come with the Wizard designed models? Or perhaps the Prestige as well? ;)

Question for those more experienced with CIEMS.  Back in October my wife unbeknownst to me, bought me a set of 3C's for my birthday.  They showed up Xmas eve.  As far as fitment is concerned, will it be glaringly obvious if fitment isn't good?(what are some things to look for?)  They seem pretty comfortable, much better than the few sets of IEM's I own.

One thing I noticed is the "memory wire" doesn't really wrap tightly to my ear ie. sticks way up so it goes over the top of my ear lobe and doesn't stay behind the ear.  That is kind of annoying.

Your wife bought you a pair of CIEMs without your knowledge? How did she get your ear impressions?

Anyway, a good fitting CIEM should feel, for lack of a better description, just right. Without playing music, it should block out a lot of the ambient noise, even in a public area, such as a bus or a train. It should seal nicely, and bass reproduction should sound full bodied, and not thin or lacking. Another important indicator is the comfort factor. Even if your CIEM appears to fit well, and your music sounds great, but if it makes your ears sore after 1/2 - 1 hour of playing time, then it's a poor fit IMO. I hope this helps.

Btw, nice birthday present. You are a lucky man to have a great wife.

Thanks for the explanation. I think I'll have to spend a bit more time with them as with the holidays I didn't really get to use them much. Nothing jumped out at me as being poor fitment wise. I did seem to be able to break the seal if I did certain facial expressions, but I'd say it took me trying hard to do so, for it to break.

I think I wore them for an hour or more and no real discomfort but I got almost a claustrophobic feeling where I had an urge to remove them. Hard to describe but I attributed it to just not being used to having something in my ears for that long.

As for the "how". I had gotten impressions done quite a few months back but decided I'd hold off on spending the money as I bought a car(nsx) which took a lot of my attention.

I left the impressions in their box, in my "junk drawer" in the kitchen. I had showed her the nobles when I was getting ready to buy them to get opinions on color so while she couldn't remember the brand name she remembered the crown logo. Guess she Google'd for a bit, stumbled upon Head-fi, came on here and scoured a while, before finding them. She contacted Brannon and put the wheels in motion. Definitely was an extremely thoughtful gift. It also eliminated me having to pick a color which was giving me a lot of trouble lol. She is notoriously bad at hiding gifts/keeping secrets, but I had NO idea this time.

Any thoughts on the memory wire fitment?

@Spec C, you can bend the memory wire so it points back over your ear.

I will try that. Thnaks
