The K10 has shown me also just how excellent the X5 is. Plus it has revealed to me how revolving flac recordings can be. The recordings I listened to were so atmospheric, at times in live symphony recordings between movements I could hear the ever ever so slight russling of the audience as the concert-goers got ready in their seats for the next movement to play. Such is the resolving power possible in digital recordings from flac on up... providing you are listening through the K10 and a dap like the X5.
As good as the X5 is though, I marvel at the possibility that the X7 and others could even better that of the X5. It astounds me!

I would just like to say that the K10 shows just how amazingly resolving the X5 is. It too, I find to be, itself a marvel. Thank you Fiio...and thank you Brannan, John, Sunny and all of Noble, who made my Holidays so special this year.

Might be interested in getting K10 too but I was hoping to either get my DAP(looking at AK100II or RWAK100II or AK120II) first.

I'm thinking of going the 100II or 120II myself and letting Red Wine work them further, but, know what? I'm By Quirk very attracted to the 240's shape! It's like something out of M.C. Escher's impossible geometries.lol

Haha, I am also interested in AK240, but most of my songs aren't AK240 worthy.

And, yes, the shape, in my own words, uglycute.

I'm hoping RW will add a special attractiveness to the AKs, otherwise, I would just get AK100II.

Lol. Yes. I can tell. The Shure 846 is very addictive. The K10 was by far the superior iem though. Unfortunately, I already spent my fair share on my other hobby before coming back to audio gear, so only one BF deal for me... For this year at least. Heh.
:o
Yup. I'm based in Singapore too!

Nice to meet you! There's quite a number of Singaporean Head-Fiers. Jelt and I are thinking of setting up an SG Head-fi meet. Looks like most of us will have one thing in common - K10. :D

How long is the wait for ordering K10 from MS?

There's a separate queue for dealers vs going direct. Going direct will take you 6-8 weeks according to their website.

Another Singaporean checking in, got to meet Calvin just before Christmas, and demoed the K10's too! Which I find to be very, very impressive, and for the first time I can fully agree with the numerous reviews that claim the K10's to be so effortless, they're so coherent and smooth it's amazing. And if there is a meet I'd love to meet more of us :)

What did you pair K10 with? (:

Thanks for the heads up! But I guess I do need to go through dealers for warranty purposes?

Or possibly an American:)
C'mon Watgump. What would you rather , divide 1'7/8" by 21/4" or 327 by 57? Blatantly a better system!
A little O/T I know!
